ToggleChoose the right compressed air oil filter for you
Compressed air is the normal air in our atmosphere that has been compressed to high pressure. Just like normal air contains a lot of pollutants, particles, and oil vapors, compressed air is just the same except that they are in a higher quantity due to it being compressed together. Therefore, a compressed air oil filter is used in equipment and industries involving the use of compressed air, to filter out any oil particles and remove foul odor. Therefore, manufacturers usually seek high-grade compressed air oil filters from a reliable bulk manufacturer to ensure the longevity and effectiveness of their equipment.
Why Compressed Air Oil Filter is Important
Depending upon the atmosphere the compressed air is coming from, pollutants particularly the oil level concentration in the air can vary. In the absence of a compressed air oil filter, over time even the smallest quantities of oil droplets in the air become a cause of serious concern, which end up accumulating oil in the airways, compressors, and filters. This oil on the one hand creates stickiness which may lead to interrupted air flow, it also results in bad odors at times which could be quite unpleasant. Moreover, depending upon the sensitivity of the equipment it is used in (for example pharmaceutical and food industry) it may even cause contamination or lead to serious health risks. Therefore, a high-quality compressed air oil filter is used to keep air clear and oil free.
Types of Compressed Air Oil Filter
Different types of compressed air oil filters are used for different purposes. While the main job of all these are the same, the principle of operation differs from one type to another. Here are the common types.
Coalescing Filters
These filters remove oil particles from the air by trapping tiny droplets into a filter. Over time, these droplets keep forming and merge into an oil droplet of a larger size. These oil droplets are then taken out of the filter and clean air is allowed to pass through. An additional barrier is also in place to prevent the re-entering of filtered-out oil particles back into the air.
Vapor Removal Filters
These filters use activated carbon to filter out the oil particles from the air. Generally, the smaller oil particles that pass through coalescing filters are captured in vapor removal filters and eventually removed. Therefore, these are generally used as a second layer in compressed air oil filters.
Dry Particulate Filters
These work on a principle similar to coalescing filters and remove oil particles using a special filter. Generally, these are used to eliminate corrosive particles along with any oil particles in different applications such as in desiccant filters.
Compressed Air Oil Filter Bulk Manufacturer
As the equipment involving the use of compressed air oil filters could be quite sensitive in nature, a reliable and well-reputed manufacturer is important for long-lasting equipment.
